Hi
My no profit organization would use the profile module. Who can give help to debug and implement this module?

Hi evoc,
I would be happy to help you out on that. I'm no expert on the profile module, but I'm interested to learn better how it works. Let me know if you're interested!

okay, so I setup a subproject for the profile module on Assembla as a proof-of-concept. It is supposed to make it easier to support a single module as part of a group of modules (according to assembla). Let's see if it is the case, and what needs to be done to 'migrate' a module from the current way of doing things to the subproject structure.

All current assembla members have received an invitation to join this subproject as well.

Is the code going to be branched into the sub-project, or how does that work?

I don't think that's feasible in Subversion without an inordinate amount of work. I remember the split of the core and the addons repositories when we moved to Assembla, and I'm not prepared to invest that much of work in this again.

In Git, this would have been easy, but for now I'll just download an export of the latest version of the module, and import that as start version in the subproject repository (which is an independent SVN repository).

With the subproject organisation of the modules, each module owner could define for that module separately whether to use SVN or Git. It would come down to discussing that with the people that make regular contributions to that module.
