Locking the main branches in order to use merge requests

We will be locking the main branches for ImpressCMS 1.3 (in SVN) and ImpressCMS 2.0 (in Git) again. From now on, no more development will be directly accepted in the main branch, you'll need to use a task branch to develop your change, and use a merge request to get it included in the core.

Splendio

All designers are going to responsive themes. But classic themes allow more creativity. This theme is a good example: it is a very pretty piece of art.

ImpressCMS 2.0.0 Alpha 2 now available

The ImpressCMS team is proud to present the second alpha release for ImpressCMS 2.0.0. This release is the first release since the move to Git, and contains several major changes compared to the previous alpha release.

This release is now ready to test, and depending on the amount of feedback we get, a new alpha release could be coming in one or two weeks. Let's take out the test sheet and make this a rock-solid release!

The complete list of changes can be found on the changelog on Assembla.

In this series of articles, we take you back to how it all started for ImpressCMS.

We do this in a series of interviews with our early contributors. This series of interviews marks the 5th anniversary of ImpressCMS.

Our next contributor's interview is with David Janssens. Three and a half years ago, he was looking at creating a site to act as a public 3D model exchange site and got introduced to ImpressCMS by Marc-André.

In this series of articles, we take you back to how it all started for ImpressCMS.

We do this in a series of interviews with our early contributors. This series of interviews marks the 5th anniversary of ImpressCMS.

This time, we had an interview with Sina Asghari. A couple of years ago, he needed to create a (dynamic) website for a friend's project. Some friends, who were at the time active @ xoops.ir, the support site for Persian speaking users, suggested to use Xoops. The site was supposed to be running in Persian and the modules that were needed, were not yet translated. That's what got him involved in xoops. He started to translate modules to Persian, but wasn't a big fan of the closed-minded mentality at xoops.ir.
