ImpressCMS is pleased to present our financial reports for 2008 and the first half of 2009. We had promised a report at the beginning of this year, but some pressing issues arose that delayed this report until now. We apologize for the delay and truly intend to be more frequent in our reporting.
In 2008, we began accepting donations and placements for advertising on our web sites.
All monies are accepted through and held in our PayPal account. In addition to these funds, several domains have been added to our assets and are under our control. The report is attached to this bulletin as a PDF document.
With this report, we hope to be back on track for quarterly reports, the next being published in October 2009.
How will this money be used?
We have basic expenses at this point - domain registration and hosting costs. The good news is that our hosting is currently provided by INBOX International Hosting so we don't need to worry about spending funds there. This gives us much more scope for improving the project! Domain registrations were done individually and later granted to the ImpressCMS Board. With those basics taken care of, we can focus on building the brand, expanding our reach and improving our CMS.
We're a community-driven project and as a community we believe you should have some involvement in how we spend funds.
Later in the year and running into 2010 we plan to launch another website which will be geared towards getting the community involved. We hope to host competitions for designers, get feedback on certain issues and have input on how some of the funds will be spent and a whole host of other things, including community awards for those of you who dedicate a portion of their time to helping others and these won't just be a pat on the back either.
This project is a community project and together we will continue to move forwards and thrive, for this we thank you.
If you were thinking about getting involved somehow, then now is the time!
