Subversion Access starting Monday March 1st

Due to some recurrent reliability issues with our current SVN provider, we decided to migrate the development architecture servers (Subversion and Trac) to SourceForge. In order to do that, subversion access will have to be suspended for all users while the move is done. This migration will start Monday March 1st, 6 AM EST at which point people with SVN write access will see their access change to read only.

All the developers accounts will be transfered to SourceForge and your write access will be restored as quickly as possible. We plan the migration to last a few days. We will notify you when it is completed.

We apologise for the inconvenience, but we're confident this move will provide us again with a stable and reliable infrastructure. That way, ImpressCMS development will be able to focus back on improving the codebase and listening to our users.

Thanks anyway for the move to SourceForge!

Good luck with transfering all the code.

Hi guys,

Write permissions have been removed (I hope I did not miss anything). So if some of you still have write access to core and addons, please remember that starting now, your changes will not be imported on SourceForge.

We will keep you updated as migration progresses.

Cheers !

I see both the addons and core repositories have been successfully imported back into SourceForge - thanks for heading that up, Marc!

For all you developer-types out there, the URL of the main repository is https://impresscms.svn.sourceforge. ... impresscms and there is a folder for addons and one for core. You'll need to check out new working copies - I tried relocating the repositories using SVN, which worked, but because our old repositories are now inside subfolders, your projects will not line up with the proper URLs. It's simpler to just checkout new copies and locally merge in any changes you may have pending.

Of course, there is still work to be done to migrate all the Trac information to SourceForge - if you have some spare time, David J would love some assistance!

Status update:

Subversion is fully transfered and Trac is on its way.

If your SourecForge username is not on this list (https://sourceforge.net/project/mem ... _id=205633) please fill out our contact form and we'll add you.

If you have access to our SVN, it means you can start committing again

More updates will come soon.

Re: Subversion Access starting Monday March 1st
Maybe I am doing something wrong, but I have some problems using Sourceforge SVN at the moment.

I use TortoiseSVN and have no problem when doing a Checkout, but committing code is rejected.

When committing code the username+password is requested, I use here the username+password as for logging in to Sourceforge.

I get the following errors when committing code:
Error: Commit failed (details follow):
Error: Server sent unexpected return value (403 Forbidden) in response to MKACTIVITY
Error: request for '/svnroot/impresscms/!svn/act/b1da80b8-0622-a24b-acd0-cea65c0dce93'

Any help is much appreciated!
