ImpressCMS on Microsoft Web App Gallery

Great news! The ImpressCMS project is now also available on the Microsoft Web App Gallery.

Getting ImpressCMS to work on your Windows web server has never been easier or more convenient, thanks to the Web Platform Installer. This utility takes care of the configuration and the required software for your Web app, making the setup of your web app as close as possible to a one-click process.

Being accepted by Microsoft in this list of web applications places us in the company of very well-known and respected open source projects like Dotnetnuke, Umbraco, Wordpress and Drupal.

Getting ImpressCMS accepted for inclusion on the platform has been possible thanks to the efforts of INBOX International.

About the Microsoft Web Platform (Web PI)

Initially released on January 21, 2009[1], Microsoft Web Platform Installer (Web PI) is a simple, free tool that automates the installation of Microsoft's entire Web Platform stack. It also includes installers for PHP, which make it a lot easier to get PHP working on your Windows machines.

The final 2.0 version of Web PI, released September 24, 2009, adds the ability to automate installation of certain 3rd party software, known as Web Apps. Many high-profile web applications are available such as DotNetNuke, Drupal, Wordpress, and now also ImpressCMS.

The Web PI can be downloaded from the Microsoft Web Platform website at www.microsoft.com/web

Congrats! I know a lot of work went into the MS compatibility.

Just a small observation/question - the version on the webapps dashboard indicates 1.2.1 - how long will it take on average for this to reflect our actual latest version?
