ImpressCMS 1.3.4 Final available

The ImpressCMS 1.3.4 final release is now available to download. This release, the latest in the ImpressCMS 1.3 branch, proposes several regression and bug fixes, along with multiple updates to external libraries.

Download 1.3.4 Final

The new release is available for download on the ImpressCMS 1.3 product page.

Most Significant Changes

PHP Code in custom blocks

  • Some changes in 1.3.3 that were necessary to help with detecting whether content has already passed validation, resulted in PHP code in custom blocks not being saved adequately and resulting in errors. This has now been resolved.

Safe iFrame support

  • The Safe iFrame support introduced in 1.3.3 was not working well in all cases. This has been fixed now.

SimplePie updated to latest version

  • The XML library Simplepie has been upgraded to the latest release. This is a major release change, which should perform better on compatibility and speed.

Design improvements

  • The profile page design outside of the 'profile' module has been improved. Structure is clearer, and PM count is added to the template.
  • The layout of the debugging information was improved (#660)
  • Block ID is now available for designers for all the blocks on a site.

Language files improvements

  • The content of the language files has been reviewed and in some instances improved.

The profile module has some bugfixing and improvments. Why is there no new version 2.2 included?

The update package from 1.3.3 to 1.3.4 seems missed.
In Control Panel, Versions, does not appears as 1.3.4 as available.

1 small bug: Google Analytics stopped reporting because js is case sensitive and a value was changed in libraries/icms/view/theme/Object.php. It's easy enough to fix - change TRUE to true in line 192. It should look like this when corrected -

(function() {var ga = document.createElement("script"); ga.type = "text/javascript"; ga.async = true;

I've patched the repository, just need to repackage all the files for the release.
